Room scans, 3D models, floor plans, measurements, sun calculations, and conversations with the on-device room assistant are created and stored entirely on your device. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We operate no servers that could receive them.
MagicRoom does not require an account. If you choose Sign in with Apple, the resulting name and email are stored only on your device and used only to personalize the app. We never receive them.
If you turn on iCloud sync, your rooms are stored in your personal, private iCloud database, managed by Apple and accessible only to your Apple Account. We cannot read, access, or share this data. Turning sync off stops all iCloud activity.
The camera is used only to scan rooms, on-device. Location (optional) is used only to align scans with north and compute sunlight paths; coordinates are stored with the scan on your device and go nowhere else.
MagicRoom contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and no trackers. Apple may share aggregate, opt-in statistics (such as install counts and crash reports) with us through App Store Connect; these contain nothing about your home.
The optional Ideas feature opens retailer websites (such as Amazon, Wayfair, or Etsy) in your browser, sometimes with a measured size in the search terms — never with anything identifying you or your home. Some links may earn us a commission. Those sites' own privacy policies apply once you're there.
When you export or share a model, plan, or file, you choose where it goes. That's the only way data leaves the app.
If this policy ever changes, the update will appear here with a new date. Questions: hello@getmagicroom.com.
